Ferolas Tablets may be prescribed for the prevention and treatment of iron and folic acid deficiency, particularly in individuals with increased nutritional requirements or inadequate dietary intake. They may be used in iron-deficiency anemia, nutritional anemia and during pregnancy or lactation when iron and folate supplementation is advised by a healthcare professional
Ferolas helps replenish depleted iron stores and provides the iron required for hemoglobin synthesis and normal red blood cell formation. Adequate correction of iron deficiency can help improve symptoms associated with iron-deficiency anemia such as tiredness, weakness and reduced physical capacity. HOW IT WORKS
Ferrous Ascorbate:
Ferrous ascorbate provides iron in the ferrous (Fe²⁺) form. After absorption from the gastrointestinal tract, iron becomes available for incorporation into hemoglobin and other iron-containing proteins. The ascorbate component helps maintain iron in the reduced ferrous state, supporting its intestinal absorption
Folic Acid:
Folic acid is converted in the body into biologically active folate forms that participate in one-carbon transfer reactions. These reactions are essential for DNA synthesis and cell division, particularly in rapidly dividing cells such as red blood cell precursors in the bone marrow
Together, iron and folic acid support hemoglobin production, erythropoiesis and correction of nutritional deficiencies
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Take Ferolas Tablets as directed by the physician. Swallow the tablet with water and do not exceed the prescribed dose
Iron absorption can be reduced by tea, coffee, calcium supplements and some antacids when taken at the same time. Your healthcare professional may recommend an appropriate interval between these products and the iron supplement
